There's been a ton of heated debate within the rather insular domain community about what constitutes "success" in the new gTLD program, but what is often missing from this discussion is the viewpoint of the most important stakeholder: the consumer. Bill Sweetman will hit the reset button and propose a new way of looking at the new gTLD program through the eyes of end user registrants. He'll also suggest some alternative -- and perhaps more realistic -- ways to gauge the true success of new gTLDs, now and in the future.
